About The Project

"The environment is in chaos. Landfill permeates the horizon. World leaders call upon the last line of defense: Reckless Recycling Inc. A team of the most elite recyclers from around the globe - do you have what it takes?"

Our Characters

In our game we have concepts for an array of characters around the themes of recycling, local wildlife or environment. Within our current development progress for the game, we have two of the 8 characters listed that have been designed, rigged and animated to work within our unity game. Our Mascot Korky the turtle was crucial to be playable from the beginning and for the context of our game, adding in the recycling person to be playable seemed like the best choice.

The Game

The game is developed in Unity built with flexible programming systems for minigames, items, bins and characters. The game can be changed easily and effectively. The mechanics consist of picking up different types of rubbish, putting them into the correct colour of bin, playing minigames about processing that type of waste when it is full, and managing time where the game has a timer as well as each piece of trash. You must aim for 3 stars in each level (the score penalties and ups and even star limit is adaptable). Eventually we will add more levels with further mechanics to add difficulty and range.

The Music 

We have personalized music for each character whether they just a concept or fully developed, the hopes that with funder and future development we will have all working characters with their own soundtrack.

Our Target Audiences

We developed a game concept that is primarily aimed at younger audiences, but can be easily enjoyed by any age group. This game teaches the importance of recycling through fun and chaotic game mechanics. 

We are also targeting our game towards streamers who enjoy streaming their game play around repetitive and chaotic games to create comedic content. 

The gamer types we will also be aiming towards are competitive gamers who enjoy games such as “OverCooked” or “Candy Crush” where the levels get harder to master.

Through our instagram we have discovered that people who enjoy indie game development, 3d art and small game studios have also been now part of our target audience and following.
